Laser for dark areas is also called skin resurfacing or Lighten your dark areas through Laser. In this treatment lasers are used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars, even out skin coloring (pigmentation), to tighten skin.
Lasers are a simple, quick, effective, and safe way to treat a wide variety of benign pigmented lesions, including freckles, age spots, birthmarks, and moles, lesions of the update to identify better inflammatory acne and skin discoloration and sunspots. Laser treatment for dark area infections is quick, futureless, and faster recovery. It is suitable for skin types of all ethnic origins. For example, Asian skin is extremely sensitive to heat, and frequently hyperpigmentation occurs due to utilizing the incorrect laser source or administering the laser therapy improperly.
On the other hand, laser sources have consistently produced favorable treatment outcomes for all racial skin types. While sun exposure is the most prevalent cause of hyperpigmentation, other significant factors include hormone fluctuations, pregnancy, acne, allergies, and other skin injuries. This laser treatment draws to pigment and brings it to the surface, thereby removing the dark spots. Dark spots, or hyperpigmentation, are produced by an excess of melanin, the naturally occurring pigment in the skin that affects one’s eyes, hair, and skin. The dark spot will seem red, and all treated dark spots will darken. The redness will reduce within a few hours of treatment. During week one, your black area will appear as dark brown “speckles” and then “flake off” during weeks 1-3. You will notice that your black spot has immensely faded or has vanished throughout weeks 1-3.
CAUSES OF DARK AREAS:
Many factors can lead to the darkening of the areas such as the underarms or groin areas. Including genetics, hormonal changes, obesity, shaving or waxing, hair removal creams, and sun exposure. Your age, race, and lifestyle habits, including smoking and using the wrong type of deodorant for your skin, can also worsen the darkness.
It can also be due to a more serious condition known as Acanthosis Nigricans (AN) – which causes the skin to thicken and darken in areas such as the elbows and neck, and of course, the underarms
Common areas of darkening include the:
- armpits
- back of the neck
- groin
- elbows
- knees
